About Werner Spitzfaden, LCSW

Finding the right fit with a therapist can feel confusing. My goal is to provide you with a supportive and non-judgmental space and work with you to achieve your goals through gaining insight and making beneficial changes in your life.

With 30 plus years of experience in therapy and corporate management in a large mental health setting, my focus is on applying the powerful Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TEAM CBT) approaches along with Exposure and Response Prevention, ACT and other modalities as well.

Feeling Better Therapy wants you to get your life back! Using a structured TEAM CBT approach in combination with other treatment modalities for treatment of phobias such as flying, driving, bridge phobias and corporate communication issues, my hope is that you will begin feeling better sooner than later. 

Providing effective evidence based strategies to help you explore what’s preventing you from experiencing more  beneficial directions and joy in your personal and work life is one of the main goals of therapy. With both of our efforts, the focus is to accomplish this in a supportive emotional space and use a variety of techniques to achieve the change you're wanting.

Feeling Better Therapy wants you to get your life back! I use a structured TEAM CBT approach in combination with other treatment modalities for treatment of phobias with a special focus on flying, driving and bridge phobias. The focus of our treatment is a combination of approaches including applying a compassionate Exposure and Response prevention approach when you're ready. 

TEAM CBT is also used for treating depression, anxiety, trauma and relationship issues through integrating a compassionate communication approach using the 5 Secrets of Effective Communication and the related framework.
